If you are interested in arranging CPR classes for members of your congregation, I am available to teach two different American Heart Association (AHA) classes covering the basics of CPR for lay persons (Heartsaver/AED)as well as for Healthcare Providers. Each AHA class spans a 3-4 hour time period. All equipment and materials are brought to your church/parish at a day and time convenient for interested individuals.
AHA CPR certification is good for two years and all participants receive a completion card upon successful completion of the course. Recently revised 2010 Guidelines are being taught.

The following areas treating adults, children and infant victims of cardiac arrest are covered in each course:

* CPR (compressions and breathing)
* Relief of foreign body airway obstructions
* The use of the AED
* "Hands-Only" (compressions only) rescue technique for cardiac arrest victims.
